Way To Go!

This is the Tesla Roadster. It's an electric car. Top speed: 130 mph and 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Range: 244 miles. Available in Europe next year. Already on sale in the US, people in Europe will be able to buy them next year for €100,000. A new €49,000 family car called the Model S is also in the pipeline.
It's built by Lotus and assembled from components from around the world. Battery from Thailand, instrument panel from South Africa, and designed in Silicon Valley. "Size 12 wide-fitting carbon footprint!" I hear you shout. But the Boeing 787 Dreamliner has finally made its maiden flight (new lightweight commercial aircraft that reduces cost of long-range flying by 20%), so let's have a little optimism, please.

Shame that the new CEO at Lotus cannot get his mind around building cars like this rather than pursuing horsepower!!
