To get this new Designer's Blog category off to a flying start, here is another one; the box graphics on this Tamiya model kit. This one happens to be a mechanical rabbit - hopping type (what other types might there be?), but they are all superb and give a nice taster of the inspirational contents.

I spent much of my formative years making Tamiya model kits, and am convinced that it's about as good a training as a designer can get - on a par with life drawing. It is essential to learn the art of assembly and the way that often complex components combine to create a meaningful whole. Don't get the glue on your shirt though.
